Ouch!

Well, this is embarrassing - Broken ankle.

The good news is that the motorcycle looks worse.  Long story short: someone stopped quickly in front of me and when I hit the brakes, the rear end slid out, and I tumbled off.  I was only going around 10-15 miles per hour, but when I stepped off the sliding motorcycle, I broke my left ankle.

  1. Ouch is right! I sprained my ankle in early November when my 13 year tripped going down the stairs and pushed me from behind making me miss the last two steps. I don't know exactly how I landed at the bottom but boy did it hurt. The bad thing was that we were on vacation in Sri Lanka so the last few days of the trip were anything but fun for me. It's been 2 months and my ankle still isn't completely healed. Congrats on the new house. Best wishes, Tammy

  3. Get well! It is unpleasant, but that too now, you can look at it this way) Foot needs rest, and the hands will find something to do))

  5. Oh no, good thing you weren't injured worse. Hope the ankle heels quickly for you. This gives you more crochet time now that you need to rest it :)

    Take it easy :)

  6. Thanks for the kind words.

Yes, most motorcycle accidents result in much more severe results, so I am fortunate.

What I hate the most is asking others to do things for me - like getting me more yarn!

  7. Stay home and eat lots of ice cream sandwiches.

    Or not.

I guess that's what I would do if I was holed up at home for a while.

    Hope it gets better soon.

  9. Ouch! Hope you're feeling better very soon. I was just in your neighborhood last week. I was visiting friends in Hemet and we went shopping in Temecula.

  11. Omg...that bites! I ride too and have been very lucky to not get hurt or killed. Glad you got it all fixed with the pins. The xrays look funny...like you could feel those pins.
